You Made My Day Sale-A-Bration Card & Class - CTC 15

I totally LOVE the Sale-A-Bration (SAB) free products this year.  The very 1st stamp set in the SAB catalogue is the Best Day Ever stamp set.  I have designed a whole class around this stamp set as it is just so fun & fresh.  I was having a play with my goodies & thought I would case the actually catalogue on a card.    My catty cased card is perfect for the current challenge over at casingthecatty.blogspot.com  Why not pop over there (once you are finished here of course) and check out all the great ideas & challenge entries.

Here is my Calypso Coral version:

And here is the actual catalogue one.  I changed mine a bit but the idea is basically the same.

I am having a Sale-a-Bration day on February 15th here at my studio.  This card is part of a whole set of cards you can make on the day.  You even get to make a special box to keep them in.   This set of cards is just one of the 3 projects you make on the day.  For those that can't attend I will be adding this class to my classes for sale page soon.

Here are the whole set together:

For those of you interested in attending my Sale-A-Bration day here is the flyer - I hope to see you there!

Butterfly Basics Easel Calendar

Things have been a bit quiet around here.  Sunny days, school holidays = not much time to craft.  Stamp club was back this week so it was the perfect opportunity to crack open my new Butterfly Basics stamp set & matching thinlits dies.

I wasn't to sure about these butterflies when I bought them but after a few uses, they are growing on me.

Here is the easel calendar we created:

We used Blackberry Bliss, Naturals Ivory & Mossy Meadow. Quite rich colours for a more vintage look.   We stamped the butterfly on vellum & heat embossed it.  We also made a matching card.

To make the easel part of calendar I cut a piece of A4 card stock in half lengthways.  Folded it in half, then one side in half again.  This became the easel.  I then cut a piece of card stock 10.5cm x 14cm (the size of the front half of a card & attached this to the folded section.  You can see I put tape where you need to adhere the front to the easel section.

Then it was just a matter of decorating the card part.  Once that is done, you need to add an anchor on the base. I used post it notes but you can also use embellishments or card stock.

Birthday & Balloon Bash Fun - Yay It's New Catalogue Time

The NEW Occasions catalogue goes live today & I can now show you some of my samples I have been working on.  YAY!   When I first looked through this catalogue I fell in love with all the flowers & butterflies & bright colours.  I had to just stop & ask myself "what do I use the most & what do I need?" or else I would have bought the whole catalogue!   For me I thought, hmm... birthdays & bright fun is what I need more of & honed in on all the birthday goodies. People are always going to need birthday cards!  I love the bright fun colours in the NEW specialty DSP - Birthday Bash, plus it has 2 sheets with gold foil.

The coordinating photopolymer stamp set Balloon Bash is fresh & fun.  I couldn't wait to get my hands on them & have a play.  And have a play I did.  I have designed a whole class around this set.  Over the next few days I will share this set of cards with you.  Those of you in my area can come along to this class & make your own set.  Up top along the header is a tab titled classes.  All the info is there on when & where my classes are held, & how to book in.  For those of you not in my area I have added a a tutorial for all 5 cards in my TUTORIAL section up top.

Here is the first card.  I did warn you it's bright!   See that ribbon - It's FREE! Yes, you can earn it free during Sale-a-bration.  Starting from today all purchases totalling $90 (not including P&H) earns you one free product from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.
