Blended Bloom Flower 2 Ways

Blended Bloom is a great single stamp to begin your Stampin' Blendabilities journey with & it can be found on page 167 of the Annual Catalogue.

My daughter Amelie & I have been learning the art of Zentangle (yoga for the brain) since Ange, my downline introduced us to this art style a few months ago.  Since then we have been having such a great time together drawing & filling in the spaces with these little doodle designs.  I have even introduced Sara a friend of ours to this style of art as well.  I can't wait to see her designs as she is quite the artist.

I stamped out a pile of the blended bloom images using the Momento Black ink for my recent catalogue launch day, for people to have a try of the blendabilities markers.  There were lots left over so I thought, why not try a Zentangle one.

It looks kind of busy but quite effective don't you think?  The Project life journalling pens are perfect for this type of art.   I used the Neutrals paper stack as a background & Geometrical for the sentiment.   Here is a close up of the flower all coloured in.

Blended Bloom is perfect for this technique as it is an outline image with lots of white space.  You can always draw your own image & fill with doodles as well.  Here is Amelie's art work using the Zentangle technique to depict a tsunami wave.    I love it!

I have seen so many of these Blended Bloom flowers stamped & coloured with the Blendabilities, I am sure you have too!   I was having a play with my Blendabilities recently & had a great time colouring this stamp image in.  It does take a while , but it is really effective don't you think.   I originally only had the Calypso Coral Blendabilities Markers so this card was designed using those colours.  I used the retired Water Colour Wonder DSP & Little Leaves Sizzlits die.  I have added a bit of gold embossing & a few Gorgeous Grunge splotches

And here is a close up of the flower coloured with the Calypso Coral Blendabilities Markers.

Welcome To The Eureka Stampers Blog Hop!

Hi & welcome to our very 1st Eureka Stampers Blog Hop!  I was so excited to be able to join in the fun with such a talented group of ladies.   As part of this Blog Hop all of our blogs are linked together, so that no matter where you start, as long as you keep clicking on the link for the next blog, you'll eventually work yourself all the way around, and back to where you started.  Hopefully you'll be inspired by all the amazing projects that you see, and perhaps leave a comment on each of the blogs, so we know you were there, and how you liked the projects.

For this Hop, we chose to showcase lots of NEW products from the 2014-2015 Annual Catalogue.   If you were following the links, you came to my blog from Rose Packer's Blog – isn't she amazing?!  I love Rose's work, and her fresh eye for creating.
My first project is a combination the Moonlight DSP Paper Stack, the gorgeous new In Colours -  Hello Honey & Blackberry Bliss & "Hello There!" a very cute new Hostess stamp set on page 237 of the 2014 -2015 Australian Catalogue.
I have made a set of 3 cards using a base of Sahara Sand.   I chose to use 3 different embossing folders to create 3 different, yet similar cards.

Do you have a favourite?

To go along with this card set I also created 3 little matching bags, each one is made from 1 sheet of the Moonlight DSP paperstack.  I originally saw this idea on YouTube & just had to give it a try.

I have used the cute little In Colour Clothespins to help keep the 2 basic little bags closed.  I have provided the template (below) for making the bags which hold a small chocolate or Freddo frog.  They are perfect sized for a table gift or treat.  As you can see I stepped up the middle one which is a little more intricate.  I used the scallop topper punch as a flap closure, but the other two were left open.

And here they all are together.  I love that our range of products all match and how easy it is to make a whole party or theme from just a few core products.

I hope that you've enjoyed the projects that I've shared with you today!  I'd really appreciate it if you have the time to leave a comment, and let me know what you think.
Next you'll be heading over to see the talents of Heather McCarthy's Blog– I know you'll love her projects!  I hope you'll come back and join us again next time….until then, Happy Stamping!

Hello There - New Catalogue Products!

I have been having a little play today with some of my NEW Catalogue goodies.  I am really loving this super cute stamp set aptly called Hello There!   It has a lots of great elements & a cute little flower.  I was just over on Pootles blog where she made the cutest little milk cartons. I was awfully sad when our milk carton die retired last month but wow these are very easy to make.   I just had to have a try & it only took me about 5 mins to make up this one.    I have used Sahara Sand for the base & two new In Colours, Blackberry Bliss & Hello Honey.  I used the new itty bitty accents punch pack to make the little flowers & the cute In Colour clothespins to hold the box closed.  These milk cartons are big enough to hold lots of treats & are perfect for a little gift or goodie bag.

Exciting News!

I am a member of the Eureka Stampers team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators & we are holding a new catalogue blog hop this Saturday 19th of July. There are so many talented ladies in our team &  I can't wait to see what everyone is making!  Check back on Saturday to join in the fun & to see what I have made for the hop.
