Saying Goodbye to……Another Great Year & Fresh Prints DSP Stack

I am back with another instalment of my retiring products posts.  There are only 3 DAYS TO GO until this years Occasions Catalogue & the Annual Catalogue retire.  I can tell you both of these items are NOT in the new Annual Catalogue for 2014-2015.  One of my favourite stamp sets from the Occasions Catalogue is the stamp set Another Great Year.  Whilst many people overlook this stamp set due to the large image, I do think the smaller images are well worth a look.

I have made a few cards using just the cupcake & some paper piecing elements.   My stamp club ladies made a different version of this card last month.   I was playing around with the Fresh Prints DSP stack which is also retiring this month & some scraps left over & came up with these 2 similar cards last night.  Same design, just different colour ways.  I really like the sentiment in this set & find it quite versatile for both female & male versions of the card.

This red version (below) is for my mum's birthday next week….Shhh don't tell her!  She never looks here anyway so I am sure my secret is safe :)

If you would like to order the stamp set or the DSP you can just click away down below in the images & it will take you directly to my online store.  Alternatively you can contact me personally.  Good news is the Banner Punch (carrying over from Sale-A-Bration) & the thick Coastal Cabana Twine are available July 1st in the NEW Catalogue!

I always hold a huge garage sale on my retired product & this year will be my biggest ever!  I have 3 boxes full & it all has to go to make room for new goodies.    Please see the flyer below for the details.  Any questions…. please email or call me.

Saying Goodbye To Simple Stems

Simple Stems is yet another gorgeous stamp set retiring at the end of this month.  It can be found in the Occasions Catalogue on page 33.  Remember this mini catalogue ends June 30th as well!

This is a card I made using Simple Stems & Hardwood & is based on one by Jenny Moors.    Those of you that came to my Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser got to make a set of 3 of these cards in a cute chevron bag.  I used Afternoon Picnic DSP focusing on Coastal Cabana & Crushed Curry, which were my theme colours for the day.

Simple Stems & Hardwood birthday card
Here is the bag that the ladies made on the day to hold their cards & envelopes in.  Please note the Coastal Cabana Ruffle Ribbon I used on the bag is also retiring at the end of the month.

One thing I made that was very popular on the day was this beautiful paper sponge cake.  I have had many requests to run this as a class & am glad to say this will be going ahead on 29th June.  Up the top of my blog there is a section called CLASSES.  Please feel free to look in there to see if anything interests you.

Paper Sponge Cake
This cake can be used to hold cake slices as it has individual slices that form a box.  This cake is made from Naturals Ivory to make it look like a sponge cake.  The theme for the day was the Biggest Morning Tea so there were lots of high tea goodies & displays.    We had a great day & raised over $750 for the Cancer Council.  I want to take this opportunity to send out a very special thank you to everyone who attended or donated on the day.

Saying Goodbye to …..The Dress Up Framelits

Here I am again with another instalment in my series of retiring products.  I really love this one & will be keeping my framelits!    For those of you in the Geelong area - I am holding a catalogue launch & retired products sale on July 13th.  Keep an eye on the blog or Facebook page for more details!

The Dress Up Framelits are super versatile & really pretty.  Here is a card I made recently at NicNacLovelie's  Biggest Morning Tea Fundraiser.   I dropped some yellow ink on my dress form so it got changed a bit from the original.

Oh & remember this post?  I used this framelit to make this lovely frame for my daughter's room.   You know it never made it to her room!   I keep it in my stamping studio :)

If you are interested in purchasing this framelit set it is only available until June 30th.  Click on the picture below & it will take you directly to my online store.

Goodbye to Rev Up The Fun!

As promised I am going to spend the month showing you some ideas using some retiring products that I will miss.  Today I am showing you a few of my creations using the retiring stamp set Rev Up The Fun.  My samples were aimed at boys aged 8-14 years this time, however this stamp set lends itself to any male age.

My 1st card was made for my nephew Kobi who turned 12 last month.  He loves sports cars & a quick simple card was called for.  I am going to miss Midnight Muse soooooo much :(

This card was one we did at stamp club a few months ago.  I based it on one I had seen on Pinterest by Heather Summers.  I changed it slightly but loved the colour combo so tried to stay fairly close to her sample.  Gorgeous Grunge lends itself well to Rev Up the Fun don't you think?
