12 Weeks of Christmas: Week 8 Season of Style Merry Banner

Can you believe this time next month Christmas will be over!  We have less than 4 weeks to go & I have only just started to think about presents.  One of my downline, Leanne made a beautiful banner recently using retired products.  At stamp club last month we all decided it would make a great project for the next month's class.  I have used my old friends Festive Flurry ( I know…..yes AGAIN!) & the Season Of Style DSP for this quick one I whipped up as a sample.  The ladies are hoping to add some stamped images to their own designs on the night. I will take some photos to show you their finished banners next month.

It is very hard to photograph in all its entirity so here is a close up.

I have used Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive with a little of the Champagne Glimmer paper which makes the banner lovely & sparkly. It didn't take very long to make once I had decided on the design & I'm hoping to make a few as gifts for family this Christmas.

12 Weeks Of Christmas Week 8: Envelope Punch Board Gift Card Holders

My new Envelope punch board arrived just as I was preparing my Stamp A Stack.  I seriously love this little gem of a tool.  I have used it for lots of things, not just envelopes & today I made these cute gift card holders with it.  Once again I have used the Season Of Style DSP & following on with the cute theme this week I have chosen the Color Me Christmas Stamp Set.  I knew as soon as I saw this stamp set in the catalogue I had to have it!

These are really easy to make & look great.  I give a lot of gift cards at Christmas so they will come in very handy!  My card holder is an adapted version of one Jackie Topa made (If you click her name it will take you directly to her post with a video on how to make her version).  To make this version you need a piece of card stock 4 1/4" x 11".  Score this at 2" & 7 3/8".  Insert the short end into the envelope punch board & line up with the 1" mark.  Punch then flip over & do the same, that is line it up at the 1" mark & punch again. I put sticky strip up either side of the flap to hold the card in place.  Jackie does a stepped up version which takes a bit longer.

Stamp Set:  Color Me Christmas (131745), Wishing You (131751), More Merry Messages (126402)
Paper:  Whisper White(106549), Cherry Cobbler (121681), Gumball Green (127543), Early Espresso (121686), Season Of Style DSP (132340), Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso & Gumball Green Markers.
Ink:  Early Espresso (126974), Cherry Cobbler (126966)
Cool Tools: NEW Envelope Punch Board (133774),  Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon (19959), Large Oval Punch (199855), Scallop Oval Punch (119856), Sticky Strip (104394), Dimensionals(104430).

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 7 Merry & Joyful Christmas Card

We are getting closer to the big day & I figured it was time to start making a few Christmas cards for friends & family.  This card is one of my favourites so I might make a few of these when I get the chance.  I used the stamp set Joyful Christmas to stamp the pointsettia onto vellum card stock & then I coloured it with a sponge dauber. I have once again used the Season of Style DSP as a background, focussing on Cherry Cobbler & Gold.

I used the Expression Thinlit Dies to cut out the Merry from Stampin' Up! Gold Foil sheets.  I have even embossed the pearls in the centre by dipping them in VersaMark & then heat embossing with Gold embossing powder.

Stamp Set:  Joyful Christmas (131805).
Paper:  Cherry Cobbler (121681), Pear Pizazz (131290) Gold Foil Sheets (132622), Season Of Style DSP (132140), Vellum Cardstock (106584).

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 6 Oh So Cute Gingerbread Houses

I think I have finally caught up on my 12 weeks of Christmas posts - YAY!   Today I am sharing a little Gingerbread house I saw on Pinterest made by Leigha Rock.   It was so cute I just had to recreate it using what I had in the way of supplies.  It is made with the milk carton die & it is very tiny!  This 1st house I made to put lollies in.  The top opens & it is a solid construction.

It is made from Crumb Cake & Whisper White & mostly punch art.  Isn't it cute!

Then, as I was putting it together I thought….hmmm I wonder if I punched out a few windows whether one of the little battery operated candles would fit inside to light it up.  On this one I used Baked Brown Sugar & Whisper White & punched out the windows with a 1" square punch & replaced them with Vellum.  Ta-Da!  I still need to tweak the design a bit but love this version as the candle flickers like a little fireside scene.

12 Weeks Of Christmas: Week 4 Santa Licorice sticks

Staying with the Santa theme I thought I would share some cute little punch art Santas I made for the school fete. I found these on Pinterest.  What cant you find there?!  I am not sure where the original idea comes from but I have to say I just love them.   They are so cute & quite easy to make.  I made 40 of these little fellows & might make a few more for the kids to give out at school for their end of year school parties.

Santa Red Licorice

Each Santa uses 2 x extra large ovals (1 x red, 1 x white), 1 x large oval(pink for face), 1 x old ornament punch, owl punch for nose & mouth, circle punch from Itty Bitty Shapes for his eyes & the bird builder punch (his moustache is the birds wings).

There they all are ready to be packaged up for the fete.  I am busy getting lots of little goodies ready for the fete so you might just see a few more creations very soon.

12 Weeks Of Christmas - Week 4 Santa's List Card

I am running not just a little,  but a a lot behind with these posts!  I have been busy creating, but just haven't photographed them all.   Well I have been busy today & there should be quite a few posts coming over the next few days to get us up to speed.

Santas List stamp set was not one of my favourites from the Holiday catalogue, but like a lot of Stampin' Up! stamps, it grew on me & now  am finding I am using it more & more.  Nothing says Christmas like the jolly old red fellow.  Hmm well, in this case he is a jolly old Early Espresso fellow!

Santa's List Card

Over the next few posts you will see me concentrate on the traditional Christmas colours of red & green.  I have used Cherry Cobbler & Gumball Green on this card & have teamed Santa with the Season Of Style DSP paper Stack (Item # 132181).   These paper stacks are perfect for creating a pile of cards for family & friends this Christmas & are an absolute bargain at just $11.95.

I am running a Stamp-A-Stack class this Sunday & this just so happens to be one of the cards you will be making if you join me.  We are making 6 cards, 3 tags & 3 gift cards holders.  I will be sharing the rest of the designs over the next few posts so please do come back to see them.  If you would like to attend I have 2 spots left.  Contact me on 0411113530 to book your place.
